OUR DELIVERY CHARGES EXPLAINED
In response to the unprecedented and challenging times we find ourselves in, and in response to the difficulties we know fellow coeliacs are having in sourcing gluten-free products, we have tried to respond quickly making a small number of our ambient (long shelf life) products available to buy online and be shipped across the UK.
We are a small craft bakery, making everything we sell by hand in small batches from our premises in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.
This means that we are not in a position to carry the burden of delivery costs on small orders. We simply charge you what it costs us to send your goodies out to you, not a penny more.
When we looked into courier costs, we concluded that, at these uncertain times, a little certainty on the day of delivery would be preferable. So we chose a courier that offers a next day delivery service (from when we dispatch).
We have also chosen a courier that will collect parcels from the bakery. This does cost more but means we are not taken away from production by dropping parcels at a depot and are able to maintain the critical social distancing measures we have put in place.
Delivery is weight-based and looks like this:
Up to 5kg – £7.99
Up to 10kg £8.99
Orders over 10kg will be treated as a second parcel and charged accordingly (so, for example, if the total weight of your order is 12.5kg you will be charged for a 10kg parcel and a 5kg parcel).
LITTLE BOXES OF HAPPINESS (CAKES BY POST)
Our Little Boxes of Happiness are sent out on a signed for, next-day delivery service. The price of this (£4.70) is included in the cost you see in the product listing. If you add additional items from the shop to your order, the shipping costs will be calculated on the weight, as above, and added accordingly.
