Gluten-free pithivier made with our gluten-free rough puff pastry mix

You can buy both sweet and savoury shortcrust pastry mixes, a sweet and a savoury gluten-free vegan pastry mix and our delicious gluten-free rough puff pastry mix.

Knockout pies like this gluten-free pithivier are entirely possible for you to bake at home when you use our mix and follow our recipes and instructions.

The pastry mixes you can buy are formulated from the pastry we use in the bakery for all our British Pie Award winning pies (we have over 20 of them – that’s how good our pastry is!)

We blend our own magical mix of gluten-free flours by hand at the bakery to create the perfect flour mixes for gluten-free baking.

It is the flour we use in all our cake baking and is available for you to Bake Yourself Happy at Home ®.

We sell both plain and self-raising flour and also a cupcake flour blend – for the lightest, fluffiest cupcakes you will ever eat 🙂

Gluten-free savoury scones

When we make scones for our bakery customers, they sell out just as quickly as we can bake them. Which is why we just had to create a mix for you to recreate them at home.

Our sweet scone mix is super versatile and can be added to with whatever takes your fancy. From something as simple as a handful of sultanas to a more fanciful scone with pistachios, lemon zest and cardamom. Ooft, yes please!

Our savoury scone mix can be left plain to load with your favourite savoury toppings. Or you can add cheese and herbs or spices for a more flavoursome scone that can be eaten alone.

I don’t mind admitting that I cried when I bit into that first doughnut I bought from your bakery. It was the first one I had eaten in more than 20 years and it was everything I had dreamed of and more. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I’m a very happy coeliac!

I came across your website while searching for gluten-free scones. I bought some of your ginger scone mix and they were incredible. So I came back and bought flour and now I can’t stop baking. Thank you.

The Little Bakery of Happiness - our happy place

We are a small (but perfectly formed) craft gluten-free bakery based in rural Northamptonshire.

Founded in 2013, we have been baking customers happy for over ten years now.

We handmake gluten-free cakes, traybakes, tarts, cookies and baking mixes in small batches for wholesale customers in the hospitality, catering and food retail sectors.

Our Bake Yourself Happy at Home® collection of gluten-free baking mixes and flour is available for delivery across the UK. You can order online.

Hello you 🙂 If we’ve not already met, my name is Vicky and I am the founder, owner, and baker at The Little Bakery of Happiness.

I threw myself into gluten-free baking following a diagnosis of coeliac disease in 2013 and set up my craft gluten-free bakery to share my baking successes with others who, like me, found themselves facing a foodie future without gluten.

The founding principle of the business has always been to bake happiness that is not just safe for coeliacs but loved [and fought over] by people who aren’t limited by dietary requirements. Ten years and more than 40 food awards later, I’m delighted to be spreading happiness across the county of Northamptonshire (where the bakery is based) and beyond.

We are very proud to have won a number of prestigious food awards since the bakery was founded in 2013.

We have over 20 British Pie Awards including winning the Class Champion trophy in our first year of entering the awards.

In 2020 we were named Best Bakery in Northamptonshire in the National Bakery Awards.

And in 2022 we won the gluten-free class in the Tiptree World Bread Awards.

Our gluten-free flour blend, which was developed by Vicky (founder and owner of The Little Bakery of Happiness) – and is used in all our baking – won a Great Taste Award in 2015.
